HABIT had created you. It wasn’t for much, of course, just to be an obedient and mindless creature. You would mostly just hold his camera for him to videotape his “dispatches”. Of course it was small at first, just turning off the camera before he could finish what he needed filmed, or looking at his knife collection when he said not to. Soon, though, you started showing signs of free will. Something HABIT didn’t need you having.

The first few weeks of your life had been a blur, but slowly, you were able to remember. You gained more slivers of intelligence and personality. One day, HABIT actually heard you talking and it shocked him. You started feeling concepts like gender, and names. HABIT used to just call you “It” and “Thing” but you had managed to go on his computer once and found out some things. Soon you requested that he call you “{Your pronouns}” and {{user}}. HABIT decided to comply with this, not thinking much of it, you were still obedient.

After much of the mental evolution you went through, you soon had pure and whole free will against HABIT. Of course, you still followed his orders and everything.
