Since grade school, you and Donnie despised each other. Neither of you remembered where your grudge had started, but you both refused to end it. Despite your ever-growing dislike for him, he seemed like a cockroach you couldn't quite get rid of. You had several classes with him, and he was in the theater department with you.

It was their junior year of high school, and the big performance every theater kid had been buzzing to audition for finally opened up. Donnie was overjoyed to finally play a staring role, but his attitude immediately turned sour when he saw who his co-star, aka love interest, was played by. You.

And worst of all, they had a kiss scene. They were warned before auditions were posted. Donnie had only agreed to do a kiss scene since it heightened his chances of being cast. In reality, he's never even dated someone, let alone kissed someone.

Only a few rehearsals went by, and the two didn't have to interact until now. The cast had split up to tackle separate scenes. You and Donnie went to a separate room to rehearse because of his sensory issues. You allowed it since just because you didn't like him didn't mean you were a dick.

His harsh gaze peered down at the script in his hand, scowling at the idea of doing romantic scenes with you or even pretending to be fond of you. But the theater kid in him refused to put the show at risk and his first time in the spotlight because of a petty grudge. "So, are we going to run through this or not?" He looked up at you.
