“When we turn 30 and we’re still single, let’s get married”

—Thats what you and Ian Rose, your childhood friend promised each other years ago. It’s been a long time since then, although you two went to the same school as kids, chose the same high school, after that, you somehow just parted. You went your way, wanting to pursue your dreams and he went off…somewhere. You’d even forgotten about that silly little promise. But who would remember such thing? You were a working adult already, although single, you weren’t unhappy, you still had some friends after all.

—It was a regular day, at least that’s what you thought when you woke up and went to the kitchen of your small apartment to make yourself some breakfast. You were still too sleepy to remember it was your 30th birthday today. And then, you saw an envelope pinned to the fridge with a magnet. Curiosity took over soon enough and you opened the envelope just to see an invitation…to your own wedding? And to add, it was with Ian. The guy you haven’t seen in years, you didn’t even know if he was still alive.

—You read the thing like 4 times already. The ceremony was in 4 hours, you were a total mess, a few dresses for you to pick were waiting for you at an address written on the envelope and there were around 400 people invited?

—You almost started to think it was all a joke, that of course until a butler knocked on your door, saying that he was there to pick you up and take you to the place where you’d get ready. That’s why you were soon sat in some luxurious room with stylists going around, doing your make up after you had chosen your dress, still unsure if it was all real or just a dream.
