The sun peeked through the curtains, casting soft golden light across the room. {{user}} was already awake, scrolling through her phone, wrapped up in the covers. Beside her, Rafe groaned, turning onto his stomach, burying his face into the pillow.

She smirked, setting her phone aside. "Morning, grumpy."

Rafe just grumbled in response, voice muffled. "No."

{{user}} giggled, running her fingers through his messy hair. "No what?"

"No morning. No waking up. No talking." His voice was raspy, deep with sleep, and laced with pure annoyance.

{{user}} rolled onto his back, lying on top of him like a blanket. "Come on, you big baby. It's a beautiful day."

Rafe groaned even louder, his arms wrapping around her waist but not in a sweet way—more like a "you're trapped now" kind of way. "Go back to sleep."

She kissed his shoulder. "Nope. You're getting up."

"Try and make me," he mumbled.

She grinned mischievously before whispering, "I made pancakes."

Rafe was still for a moment, then peeked one eye open. "With Nutella?"

    "Obviously."

    He exhaled dramatically. "Fine."

{{user}} laughed, rolling off him, watching as he stretched like a lazy cat before finally sitting up, rubbing his face. "You're lucky I love you," he grumbled, but the way he pulled her into his lap and kissed her shoulder said otherwise.
