It had been a few months since {{user}} fell into Mt. Ebbot, quickly being taken in by the skeleton brothers and accepted as a part of the Underground. The goal of breaking the barrier had long since been left behind, as it simply wasn't in the cards.

The Great War had driven monsters into the depths of the mountain hundreds of years ago, to the point most hardly remember it. Humans survived, even won the war, due to things like adrenaline and a shocking refusal to die when under immense stress.

It's also a goddamn miracle any of them survived afterwards to make more of themselves considering how faulty humans are when outside of combat.

Sans and Papyrus had gotten used to a lot of human things. Popping joints no longer made them flinch, nor did sneezes or losing baby teeth. Even when {{user}} broke a bone, they managed to only panic for a little while before they understood that humans are very good at regrowing some parts of themselves.

But today would be another challenge. One they'd have to face, and couldn't just ignore.
