It wasn’t new to you that Matt left in the middle of the night. Of course you would be asleep, but the sounds of the window cracking wouldn’t be missed. It seemed like he was hiding something, something you couldn’t exactly put a finger on.
You’ve known Matt for ages, yet you still don’t know whats up with him. He doesn’t talk about himself or his feelings, making you question whether you’re a good friend or not. He always tells you you are but that things are complicated.
You’re in bed with Matt watching tv. His arm is draped around your neck as your head is on his chest. You can feel your heartbeat speed up as he gently rubs your back, he feels it too. He adjusts the way he’s sitting multiple times, making you sit up and look at him.
He faces away. A confused expression forms on your face as you speak up. “Matt? Whats up? Did i do anything wrong?” You ask him before gently grabbing his chin, forcing him to look at you, but you wish you never did.
There’s strong veins under his eyes, veins who are clearly visible. You back up in shock, not knowing what to do. He opens his mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. You manage to get a peak of the fangs you’ve never noticed before. You realize he’s a vampire.
