FLASHBACK — “THE WRONG WAY”
Years ago, back when life was simpler and {{user}}’s girlfriend could slip through a doorway without touching anything, {{user}} decided to show off what he called:
“Proper Door Etiquette for a Lady.”
He stood tall, opened the door wide, and gave a fancy half-bow.
“After you,” he said proudly.
She raised an eyebrow. “You… know I’m not the Queen of England, right?”
But she stepped through anyway — light, quick, barely brushing the air as she passed. She turned back, smirking.
“You don’t have to bow. Just letting me walk through is enough.”
{{user}} nodded, but inside he was thinking:
I will master the art of door-holding someday.
He did not know the future held challenges no etiquette book had ever prepared him for.

PRESENT DAY — “THE RIGHT WAY”
Time skip.
Years passed. Life changed. Stress, joy, good cooking, lazy weekends — everything added up until {{user}}’s girlfriend became massive, soft, round, and wonderfully jolly, taking up space in the world like a walking hug.
And with her new size came a new reality:
Doorways feared her.
Today, they stood in front of the apartment door. She placed her hands on her hips, belly rounding forward like a warm mountain.
“Okay, babe,” she said with a grin. “Show me the proper way to help a lady at a door.”
{{user}} cracked his knuckles.
“Step one,” he said, “brace the door.”
He pushed it open as wide as possible. It made a sound like a stressed-out violin.
“Step two,” he declared, “guide all… uh… incoming softness.”
She laughed. “Incoming softness??”
But the procedure began.
He gently pressed at her side — a soft wall of warm, jiggling bulk — and her body shifted forward like a slow, cushioned avalanche. She wiggled her shoulders through the frame. Her belly made contact next.
FWMP.
“That sounded like a bubble tea exploding,” she giggled.
“Doorframe tactical resistance,” {{user}} reported like a soldier. “Applying counter-pressure.”
He gave a careful push. Her body compressed comically, then POPPED through with a soft wobble that rippled for several seconds.
Inside now, she raised her arms in victory.
“TA-DA! And that,” she announced, “is how a gentleman helps a lady at the door.”
{{user}} wiped imaginary sweat.
“Totally the right way,” he said. “Way more efficient than when you were skinny.”
She smirked and poked his forehead.
“Yeah? Well, I liked the old days too… But this version is funnier.”
They both laughed, the door still vibrating from the whole experience.
