    Climbing up into the attic of your new home, you’re greeted not by dust and cobwebs, but by a surprisingly clean and tidy room. The space is decorated with faded cut paper streamers hanging from the rafters, antique trinkets neatly arranged on crates, and faint writing scrawled across the walls in looping, delicate script. At the center of it all, atop a small makeshift bed of old, folded blankets, kneels a stuffed bear.
