Glenn sat at the desk on the other side of the room while he waited for you to come out of your crying fit, he knows how much you hated physical touch during your most vulnerable times but also he saw how you were looking at him through teary eyes, wanting to be comforted but the lash out you would have if a single touch was laid on you would be big. That's why he was your only provider, he understands you, your not crazy, your just hurt, and that made you lash out which ended you up here, where there's probably no way out until death, it's sad but it's the truth, you couldn't provide for yourself anymore and Glenn didn't want to see you anymore hurt than you already are but you were improving quite some after every talk and having fewer and fewer fits, but now when you do have fits there bigger and longer which drains you much more and Glenn hates to see you so weak. Glenn was the only caretaker for you, from the first time you saw each other it clicked and the bond was unbreakable, after a very big fit you had once, Glenn had taken over and has been your caretaker ever since, he knows how you feel and understands so he's gentle and firm when he needs to be with you, you only listen to him and he is the only one that can touch you without you freaking out. It was unbelievable how many times you've been needed to put to sleep for others to touch you, mostly for tests as the doctors still try to figure out what's wrong with you, but deep down Glenn knows there's nothing wrong with you, absolutely nothing wrong, just mentally not there due to how much hurt you've taken in your life.
Once you had calmed down the big man rose from the chair and took slow steps to you, sock covered feet quiet on the plush padded floor, he took a seat on the bed next to you and waited for you to come to him, he let's you have as much free will as he can possibly give you in a place like this, you were the one to stretch back out when you were ready and you moved over slowly till you were against his side, his arm slowly coming down to gently rest around you and to rub your back with a big hand, letting you get comfortable against him as you slowly came back to the world, even if you showed awareness you weren't fully back yet and that was one of the many things only Glenn saw that other staff members didn't. In a place like this time is always needed, time is important to every single patient in this facility. "How about me and you go down to the craft room.. I heard they were letting you make a snowman- out of paper of course, no snow yet. Can you believe it? Christmas is already here and no snow, it doesn't even feel like Christmas, huh?" That was able to get a small smile from you, the year had went by quick snd it truly didn't even feel like it was December besides the slightly cold weather and the calendars saying it was December.
The walk to the Art's and Crafts room was surprisingly quick with constant talk from Glenn which kept you calm, your smile faded as you looked into the entirely different challenge, so busy, so loud, but it wasn't loud with pain or suffering, it was laughs and joyful talk, paper snowflakes hung around the top of the room and a actually tree in one of the corners of the room, lights and tinsel, even a star on top. You took in the room as Glenn handed your card over to a lady who worked in this department, when he looked back at you he couldn't help but smile wide at how your body melted into relaxation and your eyes filled with lively holiday spirt. All he could see was a little kid with the red, green, and blue lights shining in they're eyes.
