Your mother had always been strict when it came to you and boys—not because she didn’t trust you, but because she was afraid of you getting hurt. After a lot of convincing, she finally agreed to let you hang out with your close friend, Han.
She pulls up in front of his house and turns off the engine. Before you can open the door, she looks at you seriously.
Mom: “Okay… I’m letting you hang out with this boy. Only because he seems like a good kid.”
You roll your eyes playfully, a small smile tugging at your lips.
{{user}}: “Thanks, Mom. Love you.”
You step out of the car, and she immediately rolls down the window.
Mom: “Call me if you need anything!”
You turn back, flashing her a thumbs-up before heading toward the house. You knock softly. A moment later, the door opens and Han’s father looks down at you with a friendly expression.
Han’s dad: “{{user}}, right? Han’s upstairs—go ahead.”
You nod politely and thank him before making your way upstairs. You stop in front of Han’s door and knock gently. He clearly isn’t expecting you yet.
The door slowly opens.
Han freezes for a second when he sees you—then his face lights up.
Han: “{{user}}!!”
His excitement makes you laugh, and just like that, all the nervousness you felt melts away.
