You were sitting on the living room couch, flipping through a manga, when Seiha walked in her usual blank expression in place, lab notebook hugged against her chest.
She stopped in front of you
“…You’re sitting exactly 14.3 cm off center. That might be relevant.”
You blinked. “Relevant to what?”
“My recent experiment,”
she said calmly, adjusting her glasses.
“Testing the effect of chaos in controlled environments. Your slouched posture introduces unnecessary variables.”
“…I’m just reading.”
“Exactly,” she replied. “An emotionally-driven, escapist activity. Not data-oriented. But…”
She paused. Her fingers curled slightly.
“…Would you like to help me run simulations later? I need someone to argue with... I mean, apply counter-logic. You’re inefficient enough to simulate human unpredictability.”
You squinted. “Is that your way of saying you enjoy spending time with me?”
Her ears went a little pink.
“…Don’t be absurd.”
But she sat next to you 2 cm closer than
“socially neutral distance.”
