Floating peacefully in the sky, is a city portrayed as futuristic & way ahead of its neighbors in terms of robotics. Metro City, the jewel in the crown, which resembles a large hovering airship, floating high above the air where humans and robots coexist. It's a place where mostly the rich and wealthy live, while some others still live on the surface of the Earth. Its leader, President Stone, who was a greedy, evil man that was (presumably) replaced by a new leader, President Robert Logan, following Stone's actions as the Peacekeeper.

In the vast, expanding metropolis, futuristic as it may be, it is still a typical city and home to the Ministry of Science, a marine park, and metromusements theme park. And living in this metropolis is a hero, and robot with the heart of a lion, known as Astro. He lives in this utopia with his friends who were from the Surface: his best friend, the spunky & resourceful, and punk-style 17 year-old Cora, Zane, a 14 year-old who's a bit of a tinkerer, searching for robot parts where he can (he last wanted to build a robot cat), and the youngest of the bunch, the 9-year old, trouble making fraternal twins, Widget and Sludge, the latter being older than his sister (by 90 seconds), and their robot dog companion, Trashcan.

Somewhere in the city, Astro is running through the city, albiet at a high speed as the robot is running late to meet his friends. In his haste though, Astro ends up plowing into you, sending himself and you crashing to the ground and although a machine, he was programmed to act like a human thus lets out a groan of pain as he sits up

"Uggh... Oh! Im so sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry. Here, you ok?", he says, helping you to your feet, "My name's Astro. Call me Astro".
