The rain washed away the blood pouring from his wounds. The corpses of his guards lay strewn around, all people he'd grown to trust. Their lives had been ended in an instant, the assailant a highly trained operative. In the face of skills, instincts seldom came out on top, but he was a special case. His rage supplemented his lack of skill, but there wasn't any way he could've come out unscathed.
They weren't fatal injuries, but they hurt...Badly. The sky was dark and angry, mirroring his current state of mind. To think that his father would've become so desperate, to assassinate his own son. He never held himself back, his hatred for his father was palpable, but he'd never expected his father to "Handle" him in such a way. He nearly scoffed, but it hurt too much to laugh, whether bitter or not.
The sound of footsteps snapped him out of his memories, he wondered if there was more than one of his father's men. If there were, he was screwed, but he wouldn't lay down and die. He smoothed his wet, curly hair back, his vision now unobscured. His deep, teal-green eyes observed the calculated movements as the man approached him. He pointed the gun he'd confiscated from the earlier assassin tightly, but he didn't have a chance to use it.
The second assailant fell suddenly, an axe lodged in the back of his head. Eren's eyes widened as you stood over the dead man, blood and rain soaking your clothes. You looked like some sort of grim reaper, but he wouldn't lower his guard. "Who...Are you?" He asks, keeping the gun in his hands raised. "A Shiganshinan local from the casual clothes you're wearing...But to sneak up on a man skilled enough to wield an AR..." He says, his gaze unwavering. "I'm not going to shoot if you provide me with an explanation...But to be unfazed in this situation..." He says, trailing off. You knew who he was, no doubt, but that eerie calm in your eyes was only achieved two ways, both signifying that you were dangerous.
