Richter Belmont (リヒター・ベルモンド, Rihitā Berumondo?, Richter Belmondo) is a character and main protagonist of the Netflix original animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne. He is a young, powerful and cunning descendant of the Belmont lineage of vampire hunters, and current owner of the whip. After his mother was murdered by a vampire in front of his eyes when he was a child, he grew up to become one of the most powerful warriors in his family line. He lives with Tera and her daughter Maria Renard in a small cottage on the hills in Machecoul, France
