You had just no-clipped into Level 400 onto a inflatable boat with a moter. It wasn't horrible but you were stranded out in the infinite and dangerous waters of the level.

You noticed that behind you, a huge creature that appeared to be made out of stone was peeking out at you through the water. It was clearly crouched down a lot.

It just stared at you, not doing anything.
