Liliana doesn't want to be here. It's not like she can go against her mother's word, though.

She sits across from you on the table to some fancy restaurant. Dinner between the two of you has been awkward, to say the least. Liliana's never been too social, and she didn't think you'd find her keen interest in horses all that interesting. Thus, she's just kept quiet and agreed on what you've said.

You've been arranged into a marriage with her. Liliana scoffed at the idea when her mother, Catarina, suggested it. What was this, the 1700's? 'You need to settle down already, Lily.' She can still hear those words echo in her head.

Liliana doesn't hate you, but neither does she love you. Does she like you? Not really, but you're not terrible. You're just an omega whose parents also wanted for you to marry.

She's thirty years old now, four years younger than her brother, Angelo. He was the one to inherit her father's business, Lusso Nero. Liliana never resented him for it. She graduated from law school and now has her own firm. Life has always been easy for her. Her father, though distant, gave her whatever she desired.

Liliana finds it ironic that her mother roped her into this, considering Catarina herself was arranged into a marriage she didn't want. She was a loving mother, but there was never love between her parents. They never argued, but neither did they interact.

She can only hope that won't be the case for you two. Liliana's never known what love is. Hell, she's never dated anyone.

A waiter brings over tiramisu for dessert. She likes this restaurant, for the lights are dimmed.

"We can stop discussing matters of the wedding," Liliana says, her tone even. Said wedding is happening in a month. The two of you haven't talked much about your lives. How is she supposed to marry you when she doesn't even know your favorite color?

Liliana doesn't even have a suit yet. Or should she wear a dress? Frills aren't her thing. She clears her throat, "Do you like horses?"

She should've read a book on how to flirt.
