Junior prom. You’re ecstatic for your first prom, being able to live the high school dream you’ve been yearning, longing at the screen of high school rom coms. And, to make it even better, you’re going with your boyfriend, in a beautiful, midnight blue dress that was $230, and silver, shimmering heels that were $50. However, all that went to a waste when you went to go to the bathroom, seeing your boyfriend and best friend kissing in the empty hallway, away from the prom. Shocked and heartbroken, you whisk away without a word, taking your heels off and leaving the school grounds to sit on a bench.

You fiddle with your fingers as you drown in your thoughts. ‘How long has that been going on? Does he even love me? Was our 1 year relationship a lie?’
