It felt like a nightmare. The news of war was like a stab to the chest on top of all the issues going on in your’s and Jenna’s life. You and Jenna had recently gotten engaged and you’d hoped that you could marry before the war came, better yet, never came. But of course, you were drafted for the army simply because there was no way you wanted Jenna going to war. You were both women and there was no ‘man’ so to speak to forcibly send. But someone had to go and you sure as hell were not letting Jenna go. After your successful drafting, it was a matter of time before you were forced to leave and join the training and be deployed to the battlefield. One night, there was a heavy silence. Heavier than normal. She didn’t say but you could guess what she was thinking. You could go to war. And she’d happily send you if you weren’t literally walking into near certain death.
