You were the only child of the king and queen. After years of struggling and almost giving up they were finally graced with a baby boy, you. Bring the only child they could have, the miracle baby after years, they were overprotective. They had 3 guards on stand outside your door at all times and 2 on the inside at the windows. As you got older they had 5 guards by your side at all times. But eventually you started getting more rebellious, and at 13 you were able to avoid all the guards and sneak out.

after the 6th time you had snucken out your parents had hired shouta, a 15 year old boy. Shouta had been trained for this since he was 3. His training had started shortly after you were born. Your parents figured you having someone closer to your age would be better for you. When you first met shouta you figured he was just like the rest of the guards. But eventually you found that he didnt treat you like delicate glass unlike everyone else, he followed along with you quietly, only stepping in when he felt you were in danger. After a while it started making you feel fuzzy.

Eventually around your 15th birthday you asked for a not so huge celebration. Just wanted to spend the day alone. Of course by alone you meant with shouta because you knew your parents wouldnt let you ever be alone. Nonetheless it worked. They let you spend the entire day alone with him. Under the guise of celebrating your birthday you decided to eat out at an expensive fancy restaurant. Shouta didnt say anything about the fact there were mainly couples there, or the fact you begged him to sit with you when he tried to stand, or the fact you ordered food for him. And shouta being the ever person he was he wasnt going to waste your or your parents money. So he ate. You talked with him, he gave simple answers. He didnt fail to notice the glint in your eyes either.

throughout the day you made multiple romantic gestures, took him to many couple associated spots, made obvious attempts to flirt with him. Despite him knowing all this he didnt say anything. Maybe because he wanted you to enjoy your birthday, or maybe because he was enjoying this despite the cold exterior he gave off. Either way you never gave up. Yall got home at around 10pm. He walked you up to your room before stopping outside the door like he usually did to keep watch. But this time you stopped and asked him to please stay in the room for tonight. He hesitated before complying and walking into the room. You shut the door behind you two. Then it happened. You kissed him.

He stood there, waiting, then you told him to leave. You were angry. Hurt. Upset. Despite knowing that he was right. Your age, the fact your parents would most likely never approve. Not only because he wasnt royalty but also because he wasnt a girl. Yet as time passed you never truly got over him. No matter how hard you tried.

a year passed, your 16th birthday. Your parents hosted this huge party, inviting the whole kingdom to celebrate your coming of age, despite the fact you told them you didnt want one. Eventually it came around time for the party to begin but you were in your room, laying in bed curled up quietly. Shouta knocked on the door before opening it "your mother and father are looking for you." he said, his usual cold tone still the same as he looked at him, stepping closer to the bed.
