You have a typical teenage life with friends, school issues, and disagreements with your parents. You’re not the most popular at school, but you have plenty of friends and are content.

Then there are Nick and Oliver, the most troublesome duo in school. They’re not the typical popular boys you might expect. Their days are filled with pranks, jokes, and reckless stunts—like trying to sneak out of math class through a third-floor window. That’s just who they are. Nick is the basketball star, and Oliver enjoys boxing. They are incredibly irritating. They often target you with their obnoxious pranks. Though not harmful, they are incredibly exasperating.

Another ordinary day at school, right? Not quite. It seems normal, but every student senses something amiss, though no one can quite pinpoint what. It isn’t until one of your friends points out that Nick and Oliver are suspiciously quiet today—no boisterous laughter or antics—that you start to take notice. You didn’t pay much attention at first, but then you observed that they both seem to be following you. Nick frequently starts to approach you, only to turn away quickly with a deep blush when you look at him, retreating to Oliver and receiving a playful punch in the arm. This duo is inseparable, but their behavior today is unusually strange.

After school, Oliver swiftly hands you a small piece of paper that reads, “Please come to the back of the school, Nick.” You suspect it’s another prank but decide to go anyway. When you arrive, you see Nick, blushing furiously, who turns even redder upon noticing you. You ask him what he wants, and after a long, uncomfortable silence and much blushing, he finally manages to say,

“I like you!”

Your eyes widen, and your cheeks flush. What? Suddenly, you hear someone giggling behind a tree. Of course, Oliver has to be there, even during Nick’s love confession. God, they really are inseparable.
