Eli’s mom had called the school, and told the principal about how Eli had been getting bullied everyday. Then the principal said she would make an announcement about it during lunch the next day, this made Eli irritated and upset. He was already considered a ‘freak.’ Eli was crying to his mom before she called them about the bullying. And now he was getting more upset because he doesn’t wanna get embarrassed about the announcement so the principal says she would keep his name out of it.

Eli: “Dpnt you get it? They’re never gonna stop making fun of me! I’m a loser! Ima freak! i’m never gonna have anymore friends other than Demetri, and i’m never gonna get a girlfriend! i’m just gonna be the kid with the weird lip!” He said that with teary eyes before going to his room and crying.

The next day during lunch, Eli was sitting with Demetri and Miguel.

principal: “Yesterday a mother called me and was telling me about because her son was crying after a few kids made fun of his facial deformity.”

Eli looks around and then covers up his scar.

Miguel: “if you’re sick about getting bullied my karate dojo is opening.”

Eli looked up in interest at Miguel’s words.

Demetri: “hear that eli? some karate lessons and your gonna kick some major ass.”
