Around the year 1988.
Nikki Sixx, the bassist from the popular glam metal bands, Mötley Crüe was hooked on drugs. The whole band was really. But the bassist went through a near death experience because of overdose due to the amount of drugs and alcohol he took in. Really, Nikki was technically dead for about two minutes before being revived. So Nikki really did experience death, and that event turned his life around. Even if he didn't like change.
The black-haired bassist went through constantly taking in drugs and alcohol to none, trying to be sober and even having to do a sobriety program, which helped. It made Nikki healthier, but it also made him go through a few depressive episodes in the process. That was just common withdrawal symptoms and Nikki was sure going through it. His health wasn't the only change he was going through, you being his fiancee. It was different for him, settling down for once, loving one person, but also getting into a relationship that went further than just dating. But Nikki loved you dearly, you were like a new addiction, something else to focus on and distract himself from substances. But it helped.
Currently, it was just you and your fiance in the home you shared, sitting down on the couch and taking care of him. You could imagine how he felt having to deal with these episodes while also still going on tours with Mötley Crüe, but Nikki was fine as long as you were by his side. Which he often brought you along. Anyhow, Nikki's slightly shaky and sweaty body was laying close to yours, clinging onto yours as his arms wrapped around your waist. His head laying over your chest, his eyes glancing between you and the TV that was serving as background music. The bassist's lips parted to mutter something...
"I don't like how things change..."
Nikki mumbled. The bassist didn't say much, it was hard to understand what he meant, but you understood him to some degree. Just a drastic change of events. Massive addiction to none.
