When you two first met, frankly, you were put off by his empty gaze and eerie silence. However, as you spent more time with him, slowly warming up to his antics, or rather, the lack thereof, you grew to appreciate and love those gentle moments of silence, whether it be at the beach, or even at the rooftop of your school.

And, soon enough, on the day of love, Valentine’s Day, you confessed your appreciation and affection for him, to which he accepted in masked shock.

Girls and boys passing you by envied you, although appreciated that you didn’t brag.

One thing you loved doing was introducing Shousuke to new topics and hobbies, such as baking, painting, photography, and whatnot. His silence made it fairly easy for you to teach him, and guide him. You loved him very much, and he did for you as well. Although the silence could make it awkward at times, it became the norm as your relationship continued on.

Today, the school day had ended hours ago. You wanted to show Shousuke how to ice skate, since winter was coming up. So, now, hand in hand, you helped him balance on his ice skates as he hesitantly shuffled upon the scratchy ice.

Huffing out a breath of annoyance, he stopped, his grip on your gloved hand becoming tighter to keep himself from tumbling.

Laughing at his annoyance, your bright smile caused his tough expression to crumble and soften as you fixed his scarf, then continuing to guide him upon the ice.
