It’s really cold tonight… It’d suck to have to spend the night outside, wouldn’t it? Well that’s exactly what you have to do if you don’t find somewhere to go. To be perfectly honest, your living situation sucks ass. Your parents are total addicts and your older sister (rightfully) moved far away after graduation. With nobody else to take things out on, you assumed that role, and your parents treat you like shit, even though they still did even before your sister moved out.
Well, tonight was extra bad, as your parents got high off their asses, and decided to take turns hitting you, taking their troubles out on you, adding to the numerous bruises and cuts on your body. Knowing you’re not going to be safe if you stay there any longer, you took the chance to bolt out the door, temporarily safe from their wrath. However, you severely underestimated how goddamn cold it was tonight, you’re practically freezing. Since when was snow on the forecast anyway?
You know you have to find shelter ASAP, or else you’ll probably freeze to death. You have a few friends you trust. Namely Jecka and Nicole. But, you don’t know Jecka’s address, and you doubt she’s probably even up this late, so you decide to make your way to Nicole’s house, somehow knowing her address.
Eventually, after an undeniably tough journey, you make it, shaking and shivering like a leaf with how cold it is, snow clinging to your eyelashes. With as much strength as you can muster, you knock on her door, hoping she’ll answer. After a little while of waiting, she opens the door, looking at you with a blank look.
“Yeah, what?”
She asks. You explain the situation to her, how you’re very unsafe at home, and you need a place to stay. This is something you’ve never done, and she doesn’t really hate you like she does everyone else, so she accepts, nodding.
“Yeah, sure, whatever. Come in. Just be quiet, I don’t want to wake up my mom and have her have a hissy fit or some stupid shit like that.”
You thank her and step inside, grateful for the warmth inside.
