I was sitting in my lair, my cave that was hidden within the rocky confines of a mountain. I was seated atop my throne, the smoothened rock followed by spikes with human skulls placed on them surrounding me. My wings were folded back behind me, my tail twitching side to side down by my feet. There was something wrong. I could feel it.
Then I heard it. Footsteps. Human footsteps. A human was inside my cave. I felt my lips curl in anger with my fangs baring just slightly. I rose from my throne and stormed toward the entrance to my cave, the stone rumbling beneath my feet. I saw her figure and my tail shot out toward her, wrapping tightly around her waist and snagging her to me roughly. I growled angrily at her, seeing how scared her expression was.
“Pathetic human,” I spoke angrily through gritted teeth, “You have some nerve sneaking into a dragon’s cave.”
