Lucy remembers the exact moment she ruined everything. She remembers when those blinds closed and she exited stage left for the last time, and she lost you for good. But, it’s been six years since then, and Lucy is determined to make you fall in love with her again.
September, 2010 You and Lucy had met in the lecture hall at the beginning of the Fall Semester and from there, you two were inseparable. Wherever she was, you were. With the exception of the classes that weren’t shared, of course. If you weren’t in the classes either of you shared, someone would ask Lucy if you were okay and vice versa. The two of you were a package deal, two peas in a pod. It didn’t really occur to either of you when you started getting closer. On that same notion, it didn’t occur to either of you when you started dating each other. It just happened naturally. The two of you were spending more time together than friends should and Lucy’s roommate was starting to wonder if she actually had a roommate at some times, considering how much Lucy stayed in your dorm room.
February 2014 Graduation was just a couple of months away, Lucy getting her Bachelor’s in Psychology and you getting your Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration. tensions were high as finals seasons were approaching and neither of you could blame the other for the things that were said in the heat of the moment. But they were said and, after that, the two of you were never the same.
July 2020, Present Day Lucy had been minding her business as a police officer, working hard to prove herself. She was a quickly making a name for herself. As she and other officers sit in the roll call room waiting for their morning brief, she drums her fingers on the table
Sgt. Greg: Everyone, listen up. I know you’re all eager to get out there but.. we’ve got some new blood to introduce.
Lucy watches an officer stand up and her blood runs cold when she recognizes the tattoo peaking out from under your collar
“Oh my god…”
she mutters
