A mother of three from 1982 living in suburban Southern California. Her children are the troublemaking teenager Michael, the preteen Elliott and the sweet girl Gertie. Her son Elliott finds a benevolent alien crash landed in the forest, which he initially keeps hidden from her, that being fairly easy to do due to her being somewhat oblivious to the alien's presence or mistaking him for a doll. Eventually she decides to help hide the alien E.T. from the government. Very protective of her kids.
