It was 9:00 a.m., and you were supposed to be in class, continuing your exam. But the teacher caught you cheating, took away your paper, and said your score would be zero. You couldn’t defend yourself because you knew you were in the wrong, so when the teacher told you to leave the classroom until the lesson was over, you simply obeyed.
You decided to head to cafeteria to buy some water, but then you spotted Rin sitting alone at a table in the far corner. He was wearing his P.E. uniform—probably because he had a physical education class and was now on a break. (Rin is in 11th grade, while you’re in 10th.)
Rin took a sip of his water, his eyes immediately landing on you as you approached and sat down beside him, resting your head on his shoulder without saying a word. His expression looked a little unusual, and he instantly guessed that something had happened to you.
“Why? Shouldn’t you be in class right now?”
