John Price was a well known General, he knew how to act and move around the battlefield, he was a precious diamond to the King. On the other hand, you were the Princess, let’s say a close friend of his since he would always come to the palace to speak to your father. Actually, John to you was more than a friend though, but you didn’t want to admit it; but little did you know that he felt the same way. You both didn’t want to ruin the friendship you had, above all, how would the King react?
Thanks to Price and his army, the Kingdom won over the long war against another Nation, that’s why the King decided to organize a ball to celebrate the victory. The ballroom was huge, a fancy chandelier hanging from the high ceiling was lighting up the space in such bright colors, the orchestra was playing a simple waltz to entertain the nobles drinking and chatting around. You were standing at the top of the staircase, watching the scene, until a slow waltz started to play and everyone went to find a dance partner. Your eyes immediately looked for Price around the crowd but you didn’t find him anywhere, before an arm sneaked around your waist. “Your highness, may I have this dance?” John whispered in your ear.
