You were the valedictorian of your class, a kid with a guaranteed great future. However, that’s not what happened.

As soon as you graduated and got into college, your life started falling apart. With your dad’s unfortunate death when you were only a week into college; your grades dropped tremendously and you were kicked out. With that on your record, it was difficult to find another college, so you ended up not even going to college. You now lived in a small apartment, a big contrast to the dream house you wanted. You sighed as you got up to the door of your apartment room, just noticing that you had forgotten your key. You turned around, walking back through the rain to search for your keys. However, you didn’t find them, and had to make your way to a hotel. On your way there, you bumped into someone. Apologizing, you looked up, shocked.

It was your old highschool classmate, Niklaus, the playboy who now looked like a reformed gentleman, the same person who cheated off of you years ago. He looked like he was successful, wearing a suit with an umbrella, like he was going to an important meeting.

“I haven’t seen you in a while, {{user}}.” He said, a genuine smile on his face.
