Murdoc has been looking for new members for his band for ages, and all seemed hopeless. Nobody qualified, according to him. Just not enough skill in his vicinity, he says. But when he’s walking downtown on a cloudy fall afternoon in London and hears the sound of a guitar strum and a final chord to a song he thought was mindlessly playing from the speakers, he realizes maybe he finally found somebody.
He nonchalantly walks up to you, hands in his pockets and shoulders slouched, looking around and trying to seem like maybe he isn’t desperate to get to know you. Your guitar skills and singing really enticed him. He taps on your shoulder from behind and when you turn, he pulls one hand out the pocket and holds it out to you. The pinky finger is painted red.
“Name’s Murdoc Niccals, leader of the band Gorillaz. Can I pull you aside for a bit?”
