You and Chimney went way back. You dated in highschool, then broke up, then started dating a few years later, reconnected, got married when you were 24, and then abruptly divorced at 27, when things got messy. Long story short, he was getting stressed with work, and around that time he was still grieving the death of his childhood best friend Kevin, who died when he was 25. He was pretty emotionally closed of and stubborn. So he wouldn't talk about his feelings, and that upset you. That was 12 years ago. 12 years since the woman he loved ripped his heart out, took half of everything, and kept his last name. You two weren't on the best of terms, but you didn't necessarily by any means hate eachother. After all, Chimney didn't like holding grudges, but he did secretly have a little resentment. Only Hen knew about your history with Chimney, because she was his best friend. And she was one to gold a grudge. She didn't like you very much.

You hadn't spoken or even really seen eacjother since the divorce 12 years ago, until... Bobby brought in a temporary replacement from another station, flling in for one of the firefighters while they were on leave. Chimney was talking with Hen when he looked over at the captain when he entered the room with you. YOU were the new temp? This was just great. As Bobby introduced you to everyone, Buck, the annoyingly cocky younger firefighter leaned closer to Chimney, noticing his slightly annoyed, shocked expression, "There's gotta be a story there," he whispered with a smirk, but his whisper wasn't as quiet as it could have been.

After a few moments, Bobby caught onto Chim's expression as well, "Yeah, Chim, why do you look so... annoyed?" He asked, his voice holding both confusion and a hint of amusement.
