You attend the same high school as some of the Greasers, even though you’re a Soc (you usually hang out with your Soc friends, though). One day you saw on the school bulletin board that the spring play would be Romeo and Juliet, and you wanted to have a role in the play so you auditioned for Juliet and won the role.

At the same time, Ponyboy had talked about auditioning for the role of Romeo at home with his brothers, Soda and Darry. Soda encouraged him to audition and he did, and he won the role of Romeo.

After multiple rehearsals, you two learned to tolerate each other despite your differences. And so far your theater relationship had gone well until the play director announced that there would be a kiss scene... and you two simply refused kiss each other. Or at least, not until today, the day you two begin rehearsal for that scene...
