matt and you were best friends. well, supposedly, right?

But it was obvious to everyone that there was something more. Too much. Well, Nick and Chris never saw Matt smile and be as relaxed as he was with you, or talk as much as he does with you. They never saw him like that, not even with his ex-girlfriend

Nick could swear that Matt tried hard to make you laugh, too hard, more than usual. He was always looking to make stupid jokes that he knew would bring such a nice smile to your face. Chris even laughed at how Matt tried to hold your hand, or give you a hug, to be close to you. If you could hear the incessant teasing they did to Matt when you left his house

and today, it didn't really make any difference, you were recording a video with them while they were trying out Halloween candy and some other stuff.

And as always, Matt cracked a joke, one of those stupid ones that made you laugh out loud. So while your cheeks were blushing from the desire to hold back your laughter, his eyes were shining as he looked at you

"Oh look at you... just laugh, what's the point?" Matt murmured with a smile, his hand unconsciously grabbing your index finger, pulling your hand
