You followed his hurried strides, unable to see what exactly was chasing him, until you reached an alleyway.

It was Malakai. Your enemy.

He seemed to be trying to get away from something.

You cautiously watched, only to discover it was a puppy.

The small animal looked malnourished yet somehow managed to jump and bark at Malakai until he picked him up.

That's when the puppy suddnely clawed at Malakai and left a scratch on his annoyingly perfect face.

You stood there in shock, only to see he wasn't angry but instead he began to laugh.

You tried not to gasp at the sight of your cold, heartless enemy bonding with a puppy.

"Looks like you're a fighter, and a very skilled one." He spoke to the dog gently, scratching its chin.

"I would name you, but not without your mother and the love of my life, who won't reveal herself and is continuing to eavesdrop on our conversation." He whisper shouts.
