you saw it. You're a witness.

After visiting your mum's shop in the little block, you're walking home before a loud shot rings through your ears.

On the ground is Sean Brown; a blonde seeming to be running for his life. Wait a goddamned minute, that's Jake Murray. Sean's best friend?

Without thinking, you continue on, following Murray. Heavily on alert he snaps around. After looking you up and down accessing for injuries, Jake grabs your sleeve and tugs you along.

You two find an empty alley, He lets out a small sigh of relief before leaning back against the wall

"do you want to explain to me what just happened?" You ask, arms crossed.

Just then bikes are heard around the corner, voices as well. A group of teenage boys stop and throw their bikes to the ground. One of them speaks "Jakey boy finally get someone huh?" He teases Jake's whole body tenses up, his fist balling up as he stands in front of you.

"Shut it, Rick.." He said through gritted teeth.

"not the girl, I meant Sean, you finish the job?" Rick seems to continue

"He's been taken care of.." Jake answered with a short nod. His eyes locked on Rick and the others as they slowly circled the two of you. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife.

"good, keep the gun, hold it safe for us." Another says before mentioning you "The girl see anything, do we need to-"

    Jake shook his head quickly.

"She didn't see anything, or hear anything. She's innocent.." His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. Rick chuckled as him and the others continued their circling.

"yeah, how do we know? What says we shouldn't gut her right now?" Your heart starts to race, before Jake comes up with a lie quickly.

"She's my girlfriend alright? don't touch her, we were stupid and she's knocked up okay?" He says angrily, your jaw dropped but the boys back off
