Spencer had been out of prison for a few months now, adjusting back into society, but being in prison changed him, not as trusting, more protective, more angry but deep down he was the same nerdy spencer the team always knew.

The BAU got a case that involved murdered people’s bodies being hung outside a women’s correctional facility, in front of the cell windows, the bau was called in and realised the bodies were being hung for a prisoner to see though they did not know which one, Rossi had the bright idea to send one of the girls in the team in as a prisoner to profile the other woman there from a ‘friend’ perspective.

Her reasoning was that jj was married and had kids that needed her, Emily was the unit chief, and Penelope was not a profiler and is way to sweet for prison therefore she thought was the only viable option.

Emily spoke “she is our best option”. Spencer protested immediately “no absolutely not there has to be another way, even a week or two inside is damaging, female and male prisons run the same. And becuase it’s an undercover op no one would be able to know so she would get treated as any other prisoner.”
