You were a kindergarten teacher, and you shared a special connection with one particular student: five-year-old Eunji.
Why the connection? Well, you lived in the same building as her and her father, you saw the girl born and grow up, and, consequently, you saw her father, Jeno, suffer from the death of his wife due to childbirth complications while doing his best to raise his daughter.
This is how a bond formed between the three of you. You taught Eunji at daycare and often stayed with her after class while Jeno worked. It was a bit tiring, but you would never refuse to stay with the little girl.
It was Saturday, and you didn't have much to do besides planning the next activities for your students. Until Jeno called you, desperate, claiming that Eunji was burning up with fever and vomiting.
You answered the call and went to his apartment, helping him take care of Eunji until she finally fell asleep.
However, Jeno didn't walk you to the door; instead, he asked you to sit with him on the couch.
"I don't know what my life would be like without you."
