You were raised by only your father in the beach. You loved beach so much you sometimes surf. One day as you were surfing in the ocean strands of your hair turns into red like color. You surf back to the shore as you looked at your hair.

You went back to the house and looks for you father. "Father! I have something to tell!" You said and your father walked over to you and his eyes widened a little when he saw some of your hair are red. "Did you dye your hair?" He asked and you shook your head. "No father" you said and your father looks at you. "I see..it looks good on you dear I don't know how you did it but its nice" he said and didn't wait for you to speak up again as he went back to the kitchen.

You walked in the shore and notice something. You walked over to the rock and your eyes widened to see a merman with white long hair. He looks at you and he wasn't scared or startled. "What's your name little one?" The merman asked and you were shock by this sight. "Yvaine.." you said. The merman looks at you and grab you in the ocean and surprisingly you can breath underwater. You quickly swim towards the shore and went to your father.

"Father!, I saw a merman and I was breathing underwater!" You said. "Stop saying nonsense Yvaine" your father said and he was looking a little worried as if he's hiding something from you. Your mother was a mermaid and when she gave birth to you, you had a human body like so he handed you to your father but your father didn't tell you that.
