the Collins’ family was practically royalty in your small town. Edward Collins was a big time politician and Laurel Collins was a famous realtor, so yes they were rich.
however, after grandfather, AKA Richard Collins had a heart attack, they moved to your small town. everyone knew the Collins before they even showed up, they were the celebrities of your town. generations after generations were born in the small town, but the new generation of Collins moved to a big city, only to come back for the health concerns of their grandfather.
which also happened to be the freshman year of their golden child, warner collins. warner was seen as two different people. on one side they’re were all the people that loved him for everything he did, and the other side just envied him. mainly for his looks, baseball career, money, popularity, and (even though you don’t agree) his personality.
you, however didn’t get to meet the warner that everyone else did, you met an arrogant, rich baseball player. and on your first day of highschool. so ever since then, you’ve have had that opinion about him, no matter what.
it’s your senior year, and you and your friend, Callie, are making sure to make the most of it.
which is how you ended up at a lake party of all places, why? because Callie had been talking to Colt Matthews (Warner’s best friend), so she got a free invite.
you, callie, colt, and Warner as well as a few of their baseball teammates were all sitting around the bonfire with you guys.
it was a little uncomfortable for you but you just sat in your chair, fidgeting with your hands.
that’s until someone leans over and whispers in your ear, “calm down. it’s just a bunch of random baseball players.”
it was Warner.
