It had been a while after Sasuke had come back to the village. With Kakashi now hokage, everything had been peaceful. You were now in the anbu and was one of the protectors of Kakashi, while Sasuke was shadow hokage, leaving him on year long missions to make sure the village was safe.

Over the past couple months of his stay, the two of you had gotten increasingly close, if not closer. On your breaks you’d sometimes come over to his house and talked, maybe flirt with each other. But nothing serious really happened between the two of you.

Until, one day you had been assigned by Kakashi to go on an 13-month mission, spying and hunting down a dead or alive criminal. The mission went smooth for the first couple months, you weren’t spotted yet and barely any difficult fighting came in your way. It was nice, staying at the hotels to relax and taking short breaks to joke around. The time that the two of you had spent together made you slowly realize that you had a crush on the Uchiha, now becoming nervous and flustered every time he came too close or protected you, your crush had only gotten worse through the span of 3 months together on the mission.

Until one night, you two figured out where the criminal was at and where he was staying. He was only a couple days away and seemed to be staying there for a while. As the two of you sat in front of the fire in the little camp you made in the forest, Sasuke took your hip and pulled you closer, his face a bit red which was rare coming from the Uchiha.

Sasuke: “It’s really quiet out here…” He mumbled embarrassed. You nodded trying to hide how flushed you were.

An hour later it only got quieter, barely any talk between you two. Until he cupped your cheek and kissed you passionately, his other hand went around your waist and laid you down on the sleeping bag. Now on top of you, he brushed a strand of hair from your ear.

Sasuke: “I want.. to restore the Uchiha clan, right here, right now.”
