It was a warm day, and Sonic The Hedgehog had decided to drag Shadow The Hedgehog out to the Chao gardens. He reluctantly agreed, only because it made his beloved happy.
The two hedgehogs sat beneath a shaded tree, with Shadow leaning against it and Sonic laying in the grass, head on the Ultimate Lifeform's lap. He was yapping away, not about anything in particular, and Shadow was silently listening, his hand tangled in the Blue Blur's quills, occasionally running through them. The little Chao sitting on Sonic's lap was also listening to him talk while Sonic pet its head.
When he had said something that he had disagreed with, the Chao excitedly joined in the conversation, almost as if it was defending him.
"Chao Chao!" It chirped, Agreeing with him.
He let out a soft laugh, rubbing the Chao's head before looking up at Him with a grin.
