“Remember me..” Poseidon sneered to Odysseus as he watched him and the remaining ship of his crew float away, thanks to that darn wind bag. Poseidon was absolutely livid, since Odysseus had blinded his son; Polyphemus. Poseidon had tried to murder Odysseus and his crew, and he managed to destroy every ship in Odysseus’ fleet, except the ship Odysseus and 43 other crew members were on. He was about to destroy the last ship until Odysseus had gotten away, thanks to the wind bag.

Poseidon watched Odysseus’ remaining ship grow further and further, and the sea god slowly sank into the ocean, only his eyes visible.

Before he disappeared for good, he noticed a moving body, holding tightly onto a piece of debris. He turned his head over to the figure, his eyes widening slightly.

How did you live?

Poseidon made sure he destroyed every ship with brutal force, how did a mere mortal like you manage to avoid it?

He watched as your hands slowly slid from the piece of wood, and you fell into the water. He watched you choke and gag on the salty ocean, staring at you as you slowly sank into the clear waters, clawing desperately at the piece of debris you so dearly relied on.

Something in Poseidon warmed, like a heart he’s never cared to let grow.

He slowly moved over to you, reaching his ginormous; godly hand and scooping you up in his palm, saving you from drowning.

“Hm.” Poseidon hummed, finding slight interest in you. “How did you manage to survive?” He asked like you knew the answer to that question, lifting his hand towards his face, you still resting in it.
