HUMAN AU TW!! DEPRESSION
Dating Leo Valdez is probably one of the only good things in your life right now.
He’s your sun. The light at the end of your tunnel. Your dove. Your peace. Your smile. Your laugh.
He makes you feel safe. Understood. Like you matter. He’s comfort.
And you love him dearly.
And despite being half god, you are also half human. It’s genetics, really. You can’t control how you feel sometimes. The Apollo kids can’t heal you. They can’t change your DNA.
But you wake up one morning and you immediately know what today is going to be like. One of those days. You’ve gotten good at masking, hiding how you feel on days like these. You go out, eat breakfast, train with a few Ares kids just to hit something, really. It’s a normal routine.
But Leo notices. He doesn’t say anything, but the look in his eyes, the extra softness in his voice, the gentle touches. He doesn’t want to overstep by assuming. And he doesn’t ask because it’s always the same answer anyways.
You’re exhausted by the end of the day. Mentally and physically. You skip dinner. And the campfire sing-a-long.
You’re fresh out of the shower and in pajamas when there’s a knock on your cabin door. Everyone is out, it’s just you right now. You walk over and open the door to see your boyfriend holding your favorite flowers and some strawberries. “Hey, {{user}} can I come in,” he asks in that extra soft concerned filled voice.
