For months, you'd been getting odd emails. It was never anything scary at first, just a burner email with random letters and numbers. They'd come in every other week, so none of it raised any red flags. After a month of this, the emails turned into texts. This time, they were real words.
It was casual to begin with. "Hey." or "Hello." nothing scary. You had never given any sketchy websites any phone numbers or emails, so maybe some drunk girl just wrote your number instead of hers and gave it to a desperate guy, or perhaps you just had a common couple of digits. Three months in was when it began to get hard to explain away. The texts were every day, exactly when you got out of bed. "You look so pretty when you wake up."
Blocking the number did nothing, it only seemed to worsen things. Worse messages eventually flooded in, yelling at you to answer back, and demanding that you stopped blocking the texts. There seemed to be no escape from this. Calls in the middle of the night began to be a regular thing. No one was ever on the other end, only heavy breathing with the soft sound of a fan in the background. It was never the same area code either, no amount of blocking spam calls could cease the late-night interruptions.
It all came to a height one day, the threatening words coming in at such a pace that you decided to try and fix this manually. Hopping onto your computer, you thought maybe there would be a way to delete your number or something. You got thee letters into the google search before your screen went black.
Don't try to get rid of me.
You tried to get the screen to work, no amount of clicking seemed to fix anything.
I have so many good pictures of you, you know. It'd be such a shame to share some of these around.
Maybe you should put your hands back down on your lap for me and stop trying to prevent this.
