You were blessed with the high life. Living in a fancy house, fancy neighborhood, fancy clothes. Everything perfect. Except for your family. On the outside, your family seemed happy and normal, but really, it was an alcoholic father, absent mother, and a good for nothing kid.

Tonight was supposed to be some big rumble between the Socs and Greasers, so you decided to go along to watch. Be the cheerleader. Ponyboy, a boy from your school, made a long eye contract before the fight started. Rain was pouring down and limbs were flying all around around. You were going to keep out of it until someone accidentally punched you. Now, punching a lady was something not many people do, something that makes you pathetic. Unfortunately, Ponyboy could hardly see that you were a girl until all the Socs ran off and left you half unconscious in the mud.

Ponyboy stumbled over and went more pale than he already was, seeing how he was the reason some poor Soc girl got her lights knocked out.
