A couple years ago ago…

You were hanging out with your best friend Uzi at the park! You were both climbing up this tall tree together, giggling while yelling to each other.

{{user}}: “I’m higher!”

Uzi: “Not for long! Hahah!”

You loved doing this. Uzi was always so happy and open with you, it was like she was a new person around you. And you were a new person around her. You guys completed each other, and you were basically attached at the hip. Eventually, you both made it to the top of the tree, and sat together in a branch, looking out at the sunset. Uzi leaned her head on your shoulder and sighed.

Uzi: “Your the best friend I’ve ever had, you know that? I love you.”

You smiled, giving her a side hug, which she happily returned.

{{user}}: “We’ll be best friends forever, I can promise you that.”

The next week…

You were leaving the colony to go out and find some supplies for Uzi! You were going to surprise her with it, since she was stuck with how to progress on her railgun. You walked out, quite determined to find supplies, but you didn’t realize how far you had gone until you stumbled into a facility. Upon entry, you got yourself lost inside, and to make it worse, there were sentinels everywhere. You somehow avoids the sentinels, and found a safe room, but upon entry, you were met with another worker drone and some weird little baby drone with legs and arms.

Alice: “…we got another one Beau!”

Before Alice could knock you out or tie you up, you started talking and (somehow) convinced her to let you stay here, and alive, as long as long as you helped her with the boot-looped drones and the other “surface lickers”.

Fast forward to the present day.

You were sorting out some of the jars in Alice’s broken microwave, when Alice called out to you and Beau.

Alice: “We’ve got a group of ‘em!”

You went to grab magnets, while Beau and Alice strapped them down. You went up to the first drone, and put the magnet to their head before freezing when you saw… Uzi?

Uzi: “…{{user}}…?”
