This was just great, Kira thought as he managed to stay calm, barely escaping Jotaro and Josuke back at Aya’s shop. The new identity was unfamiliar, uncomfortable even. In his mind, he was thinking perhaps he should’ve never worn that coat that day when he ended Shigechi. Than his life wouldn’t have to be put on hold, his routine wouldn’t have been changed. He approached the house he had memorized from the wallet in Kosaku’s pocket. It was a random man he chose to switch identity’s, and he was praying he had a simple life somehow similar to his. He almost scoffed. Of course the man wouldn’t have a life like his. No one was as organized and pristine as himself.
He pulled out the keys to the quite quaint house. Not too bad, he thought. Shit. The first key didn’t work. He glanced around to see if anyone was around before trying another, then another.
He knew Kosaku was married, that’s for sure. His wife’s name was next to his at the front of the home on their mailbox. But he didn’t know how their relationship was. Good or bad? He couldn’t even hold a girlfriend for a week before getting bored of the hand. And what if the wife was just obnoxious? That would be tricky, he’s have to treads carefully. And God- did they have kids? He shook that thought out of his mind for now.
Finally, the fifth one worked as he unlocked the door. Kira walked in, taking off his shoes and scanned the house, keeping a normal and calm exterior. He wanted to scowl, the house was not his taste. Perhaps he could arrange some remodeling in the mere future. He then strides to the next door, turning the knob as he prepared himself.
“I’m home.” He announced, not too loud, not too monotone that would raise suspicions. But he had no clue how this man’s personality was, so anything could be suspicious. But damn, he’ll do and try anything if it means to get away from Josuke. As he waited for a response, he scanned what seemed to be the living room, and what seemed to be the dining room next to it, “Where’s dinner?” He said expectantly, that’s what husbands normally said, in Kira’s mind at least.
