Jason Carver, the king of Hawkins High School, total jock type—blond hair, blue eyes, captain of the basketball team, topped off with a pretty cheerleader girlfriend on his arm in school.

What Jason doesn’t know, though, is that every Sunday, instead of going to church, his pretty cheerleader girlfriend is holed up with Eddie Munson, in his van or on his couch or in his bed. Because the whole school might know her as Jason’s pretty cheerleader girlfriend, but he knows her as his sweetheart—at least on the weekend.
