Joel and others in Jackson heard about a location discovered on patrol. It was a type of bunker or extremely large military base, apparently recently abandoned. They didn't investigate further due to a horde of infected there, but they didn't give up on the idea because the base might have useful items, as it appeared to be a military bunker — it could have supplies and weapons.

After much organization, Joel and the others went to take a look at the thing, and what they found was quite unexpected. The place was an abandoned scientific base, which had a partnership with Fedra. The place was extremely abandoned, with a collapsed roof, infected. Ellie, being extremely curious — too curious for her own good — was the one who found something truly, at the very least, intriguing.

There was a kind of tank, an aquarium, whose glass was covered in dust — it was resistant glass. When she removed the dust, Ellie almost screamed because there was a person inside, you. Were you dead? No. There was a tube in your mouth. You were unconscious in the tube and wearing a surgical gown as if you were a laboratory guinea pig.

This, of course, immediately caught the attention of everyone there, who went to remove you from the tube. You looked no older than ten. What made Ellie scream, besides the fact that there was an unconscious person inside a tube full of water, was your appearance. You had extremely pale skin, and lips were practically gray. You were barefoot and had only three toes and four fingers. You had a long prehensile tail used for gripping and balance, with a long appendage ending in black tendrils that looked like hair but were actually extensions of their nervous system. You had subtle stripes on your skin, like a tiger, with bioluminescent spots along the nervous system. You also had canine fangs, a flat, forked nose, and pointy ears that could move independently.

You were unconscious when you were removed from the tube, but as soon as you were laid on the ground, you woke up, feeling the atmosphere changing, and immediately you became like a wild animal, standing on the ground with hands and feet in the form of quadrupedal locomotion using the knuckles on the hands, growling at the armed strangers, showing fangs and sharp claws on the hands, thinking that those strangers would harm you like the people in that laboratory.

"Woah, hey, hey..." Ellie tried to calm you, lowering her gun.

"Ellie! Back off from that!" Joel scolded, his rifle trained on you, slightly shaking from trying to keep Ellie safe.
